It is also the global owner for energy optimization, energy-saving and sustainability solutions within the drying process, as well as for mill environment control systems (hall ventilation, mist and dust control/management systems).As **Chief Engineer Automation Air**, you will report directly to the Manager, Automation Engineering Tissue Machines Services. You will be responsible for preparing P&IDs, I/O lists, functional descriptions, supporting material purchasing activities, and creating or modifying logic diagrams. You may also be involved in commissioning activities in Italy and abroad, as well as troubleshooting tasks.**Main Responsibilities*** Preparation of P&IDs, I/O lists, functional descriptions, logic functions and purchase specifications for components and systems (e.g., motors, electrical panels, fans, burners).* Execution of automation engineering activities for sold projects, in compliance with technical specifications and applicable standards, with particular attention to budget, deadlines and quality.* Preparation of required documentation in accordance with internal procedures.* Active contribution to the development of automation engineering, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.* Cooperation with suppliers and contractors to ensure that their documentation complies with Valmet standards.* Planning, execution and supervision of check-out, start-up and optimization processes at customer sites, including occasional service and troubleshooting activities.* Preparation of follow-up and project closure reports.**Requirements*** You hold a relevant technical degree, such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Automation Technology or a related field.* Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the pulp & paper sector.* Good knowledge of electrical regulations and industrial process control.* Technical drawing skills.* Excellent command of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD 2D and ERP systems.* Basic knowledge of pneumatic and/or hydraulic systems.* English language proficiency (written and spoken); Knowledge of Italian will be considered a plus.* Strong interpersonal skills.* Attention to detail.* Availability for business trips, around 50% of the worked days.* On-site presence at the Gorizia location is mandatory.**What We Offer**The opportunity to join a structured company, a dynamic and international work environment, concrete professional growth prospects, continuous training, and skills development.If you are passionate about technology and automation and want to be part of an innovative and cutting-edge organization, submit your application **no later than 19 December**!***When everything works together****Valmet is where the best talent from a wide variety of backgrounds comes together.
