Job Responsibilities

• Oversees the preparation of accounting entries in collaboration with the team, ensuring accurate reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and income statements, along with related financial analyses.
• Leads and supervises the finance team, managing the departments daily operations efficiently.
• Handles corporate income tax (CIT) provisions, oversees monthly VAT filings, coordinates tax audits, and works with external consultants on annual tax return submissions.
• Ensures timely preparation of monthly financial statements in compliance with corporate accounting policies and local regulatory standards (GAAP, tax laws).
• Directs the month-end closing process, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Manages statutory audits and provides necessary support for Group Audit requirements.
• Analyzes financial statements, investigating key variances against budget and previous periods.
• Drives continuous improvement in financial processes, ensuring proper implementation and adherence.
• Ensures compliance with corporate accounting policies while maintaining strong internal controls.
• Prepares various financial reports for both external regulatory compliance and internal business needs.

Minimum Requirements

• Masters/Bachelors in Finance, Accounting, or related fields.
• 3+ years as a Chief Accountant in an international organization.
• Strong knowledge of Czech GAAP, tax regulations.
• Very good English.
• Knowledge of POC revenue recognition is a plus.
• Strong initiative, analytical skills, and problem-solving mindset.
• Excellent organization and time management.
• Hands-on, proactive approach.
