Our client is a rapidly growing technology start‑up that has just launched operations in Poland and is beginning the process of building local structures. We are looking for an experienced person with fluent knowledge of English for the position of Chief Accountant/Chief Accountant, who/she will take over bookkeeping as well as HR and payroll services.

Your tasks
- Keeping full accounting records of the company in accordance with Polish regulations.
- Bookkeeping of documents, including about 10–15 cost invoices per month (including intercompany fees).
- Preparation of tax returns and settlements (CIT, VAT, other required reports).
- Cooperation with the global ERP system (Oracle Netsuite).
- Support in the preparation of financial reports.
- Participation in implementation of financial and accounting system (Enova).
- Comprehensive HR and payroll services for employees hired on the UoP (start January: 5 FTE → target 10–15).
- Calculation of salaries, benefits and settlements.
- Preparation of Social Security, CSO declarations and other required reports.
- Operation of the Płatnik system.
- Supporting HR processes: hiring new employees, onboarding, managing benefits (medical care, cafeteria, PPE, language courses).
- Advice on labor law, vacations, remote work and employee policies.
Requirements
- A minimum of several years experience in full accounting and HR and payroll services.
- Very good knowledge of Polish tax regulations and labor law.
- Experience in preparing ZUS, PIT, VAT, CIT, GUS declarations.
- Practical knowledge of the Płatnik system.
- Ability to organize work independently and willingness to build processes "from scratch".
- Very good knowledge of English (min. B2).
- Maximum one months notice.
- Residence in Poland required and fluency in Polish language.
