We are the Finance Team at Surfer. Our role is to oversee the company’s productivity and efficiency while collaborating closely with other departments.

We are currently looking to hire a Chief Accountant who will manage our Accounting Team and take ownership of all accounting activities for Surfer Poland. The ideal candidate should be motivated, dependable, tech-savvy, and possess a positive attitude. The Chief Accountant will report directly to the CFO.

Responsibilities:

• Managing the daily functions of the accounting team to guarantee accurate and efficient financial reporting.
• Supervising the creation and submission of statutory financial statements in compliance with local standards.
• Leading continuous improvement efforts by enhancing accounting processes and integrating new technological solutions e.g. “SaaS” subscription management platform, e-invoicing, JPK-CIT.
• Overseeing IP-box calculation, managing GST tax in India and VAT in UK, and potentially other jurisdictions, JPK submissions, transfer pricing, WHT and MDR tax reporting, statistical reporting to regulatory agencies such as GUS and NBP.
• Working closely with external auditors to ensure accurate and timely completion of financial audits and reviews.
• Working with Strategy Finance function to ensure timely and accurate reporting to investors and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Min. 5+ years of experience in a managerial role within an in-house finance function.
• Extensive knowledge of Polish accounting standards, tax regulations, and transfer pricing; knowledge of US GAAP is a plus.
• Proficient in both spoken and written English.
• Proven track record of optimizing accounting processes and integrating new tools.
• Familiarity with financial reporting tools.
• Nice to have: investor and/or bank reporting experience and knowledge of NetSuite.
