Chief Accountant
Gdynia

For our client, an international logistics company, we are looking for a person for the position of Accounting Manager. The hired person will be responsible for managing the entire finance and accounting area within the organization.
Responsibilities: 
• Reporting in accordance with Polish tax law and the Accounting Act – preparing statutory reports and group reporting according to IFRS; 
• Managing the entire budget planning and controlling process, AR/AP processes for Poland; 
• Motivating and supporting a 2-person team; 
• Ensuring compliance with local tax regulations and internal controls; 
• Preparing management reports to enable business decision-making; 
• Coordinating work and supervising the flow of accounting documents; 
• Ensuring the correctness of contracts (in terms of financial and tax aspects); 
• Cooperating with external and internal auditors, representing the company during audits; 
• Close cooperation with the headquarters and other departments of the company;
Requirements: 
• Experience in a similar position in an international organization; 
• Relevant education (Finance and Accounting, Economics); 
• Practical knowledge of tax law regulations and the Accounting Act; 
• Knowledge of the SAP system will be an advantage;
 • Very good command of the English language; 
• Highly developed organizational skills; 
• Ability to adapt to changes in the organization, flexibility, and openness to taking on new challenges; 
• Obtained qualifications as a Certified Auditor or ACCA/CIMA will be an advantage;
