Your mission

As the Chief Accountant, located in Poland and leading a team of 2 people, your mission is to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our companys financial records. Youll manage all accounting transactions, assist on budget preparations and publish financial statements. Your focus areas include processing accounting data, booking entries, and handling financial information for further analysis. Additionally, youll collaborate with colleagues, make informed decisions, and maintain compliance with tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

Internal reporting: presenting the numbers to the head office at IFRS/CA GAAP standards and align with Dorel Juvenile Europe group reporting.

Maintain Accurate Financial Records: Process accounting data meticulously, ensuring journals and ledgers are accurate and aligned with established procedures. Ensuring compliance to local legislation like Tax compliance, Statutory compliance, etc.

Traceable Booking Entries: Record all financial transactions promptly and systematically to maintain a clear audit trail.

Effective Financial Data Management: Organize and manage financial data for efficient analysis and decision-making.

Reconcile Financial Statements: Regularly compare financial records, identify discrepancies, and ensure final balances are accurate.

Audit Trail Maintenance: Record all financial transactions promptly, maintaining a clear and traceable history of entries.

Data Analysis Preparation: Organize and categorize financial data to facilitate meaningful analysis and decision-making.

Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 2 accountants. Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide feedback to ensure team goals are met. Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Your profile

• Degree in Accounting/ Finance or similar with full knowledge of local tax legislation.
• 5-10 years’ experience on similar previous positions.
• Fluency in English (mandatory)
• Background with MS Office - excel (mandatory);
• Knowledge with Power BI (appreciated)
• Outstanding analytical skills, agile and hands-on, high attention to detail, committed to making an impact
• High level command of Excel and knowledge of Financial ERPs
• Asks questions quicker, solves a few small problems independently and looks to the familiar solutions first;
• Able to make decisions that quickly lead to the best possible solution within the procedures. Excellent (practical) problem solving skills;
• Able to anticipate and handle ad-hoc disruptions in the regular workflow;
• Critical thinking
