CloudFerro is a provider of cloud data processing services . It provides and supports cloud computing for specialized markets, including the European space industry, climate research and science.
It has extensive experience in storing and processing large data sets, including multi-petabyte Earth observation satellite data repositories. CloudFerro solutions are used by leading companies and scientific institutions in Europe from various market sectors that process large data sets: European Space Agency (ESA), EUMETSAT, European Center for Medium-Range Forecasts (ECMWF), Mercator Ocean International, German Aerospace Agency (DLR), EGI and many others.
Due to our dynamic development, we are seeking talented individuals to join our team as a:
Chief Accountant
What you’ll do:
- oversee and manage full-cycle accounting in compliance with local regulations and international standards (IFRS), using Comarch ERP Optim;
- ensure accuracy and consistency of accounting policies and internal controls;
- coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes;
- supervise statutory, tax, and financial reporting obligations (US, NBP, GUS, etc.);
- prepare standalone and consolidated financial statements, management reports, and analyses for executives and investors;
- work closely with auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions — manage audit processes;
- lead and develop the accounting team;
- drive automation and process improvement initiatives within finance operations.
What we’re looking for:
- minimum 5 years of experience as a Chief Accountant, ideally within a technology or fast-growing company;
- proven experience in managing an accounting team;
- university degree in accounting, finance, or a related field;
- strong knowledge of Comarch ERP Optima and MS Office;
- solid understanding of IFRS (experience with transition from Polish GAAP / UoR to IFRS is a plus);
- experience in taking over accounting from an external provider and building internal structures would be a strong asset;
- very good command of English (B2 or higher);
- strong communication and relationship-building skills across departments;
- familiarity with R&D projects, capitalization of development costs, or tax incentives (e.g. R&D relief) will be an advantage.
