What we expect

• Higher Education in Finance e.a. Bachelor in Finance, CMA, CFA or equivalent
• Solid relevant work experience in Finance and Accounting domains gained in any industry at similar sized company
• Working experience with and professional knowledge of Polish accounting and fiscal rules (CIT, VAT, SAF-T etc.)
• Working experience with SAP and MS Office suite (Excel, Outlook etc)
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to work with great autonomy and collaborating in a remote European team
• Experience in cooperation with external Shared Service Centers
• Stakeholder management and communication skills
• Written and spoken fluency in Polish and English Languages are a must
• Open to travel to office in Warsaw 2-3 times a week

Your tasks

• Prepare balance sheets, P&L accounts, and ensure financial accuracy.

• Lead statutory audits, including documentation and audit participation.

• Calculate monthly CIT pre-payments, manage yearly returns, and internal TaxPack reporting.

• Assist the VAT Global team with local specifics and submit VAT returns.

• Oversee GL transactions, including accruals and corrections.

• Ensure compliance with local SAF-T requirements and manage CbCr notifications.

• Reconcile balances and handle statutory adjustments and month/year-end closures.

• Ensure compliance with Polish Accounting Principles and prepare regulatory reports (e.g., NBP, Intrastat).

• Manage withholding tax, prepayments, and related declarations.

• Handle fixed assets, subscriptions, social funds, and benefits.

• Implement IFRS-to-STAT corrections and report under MDR.

• Approve payments and support Transfer Pricing documentation.

• Collaborate with PtP, AR, C&C, and Tax teams on compliance and risk management.

• Advise employees on tax laws, liaise with fiscal authorities, and support tax activities with external consultants.

• Support ad-hoc finance and accounting requests.
