Chapter Lead, Veeva Clinical & Safety

The Opportunity

You will lead a team of Platform engineers and business analysts to design, implement, and oversee the Veeva Clinical and Safety suite of applications to ensure they meet industry and company standards. The role requires a blend of business acumen, technical architecture understanding, and effective communication with stakeholders. You will work on cutting‑edge technologies in a digital and agile environment, driving our digital initiatives forward.

Key Activities For This Role

  • Resource Planning: Work with Hub/POD leads to staff value teams and develop training initiatives.
  • Skills/Career Development: Provide career pathing and development for associates and foster OneAstellas and Agile culture.
  • Platform Development & Configuration: Design, develop, and configure business platforms and own Veeva Clinical/Safety systems.
  • System Integration: Ensure seamless integration across platforms such as Clinical, Disclosure, and Safety notifications.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement enhancements.
  • User Support & Training: Manage end‑user support and coordinate with the Training team on guides and release notes.
  • Initiative Execution: Contribute expertise to initiatives, enabling continuous value through integration and deployment activities.

Essential Knowledge & Experience

  • Substantial team leadership experience.
  • Experience developing and configuring the Clinical Operations space using Veeva Vault Clinical.
  • Understanding of Clinical/Safety operations business processes.
  • Experience defining Epics, user stories, and impact analysis.
  • Ability to present technical solutions based on business requirements.
  • Supports technical upgrades, impact assessment, environment management, testing, and documentation per the SLC process.
  • Assesses privacy and security requests in accordance with laws.
  • Reports issues and communicates effectively during upgrades and disruptions.
  • Leads without authority and acts as escalation point for customer issues.
  • Knowledge of Incident and Problem Management.

Preferred Qualification

  • Veeva Admin Certification.
  • Years of experience with Veeva Vault Clinical.
  • Agile Champion with CI/CD pipeline experience.
  • Strong coding skills in Java, SQL, or related technologies.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent.

  • Permanent role based at Global Capability Centre in Warsaw, Poland. Hybrid working with office presence expected; candidates must live within commutable distance.
