Central Compliance Manager
Aon is seeking a seasoned, experienced professional who will assist with the completion of compliance activities of Aon legal entities in the UK in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and Aon policies (covering the general insurance and life and pensions sectors). In this role you’ll be responsible for providing day‑to‑day compliance advice to the business units and Wenn Shared Service Functions as well as embedding appropriate compliance culture.
Our office is located in Kraków and this is a 50/50 hybrid role.

What the day will look like
- Working in the Central Compliance Team you will work with Risk & Compliance Business Partners to promote and embed an appropriate risk and compliance culture across the organization in the UK.
- Provide accurate, timely and consistent advice and guidance to staff in the development and monitoring of operational documents, procedures and computer systems to ensure effective compliance with FCA and other regulatory requirements.
- Record the advice given so that trends can be established.
- Liaise with other members of U > Risk & Compliance as appropriate to ensure policies, materials and training take into account any trends identified.
- Whererello, be involved in the oversight of the review of the regulatory landscape, including the analysis of upcoming regulations and the impact on Aon UK’s policies, procedures去了 materials collaborating closely with all relevant key stakeholders.
- Help develop, maintain and administer Aon’s Compliance policy framework for the current business activities and future development within Aon UK (other than financial crime related policies) to ensure our clients receive best in class, compliant products and services.
- Carry out the timely preparation and accurate submission of regulator reporting (e.g. FCA RMAR; complaints etc).
- Carry out compliance sign‑offs and maintenance of registers (e.g.complaints and conflicts of interest).
- Liaise with the regulators as necessary e.g. the FCA and Financial Ombudsman Service (complaints).
- Prepare and deliver required compliance reports for the appropriate senior key stakeholders and relevant boards and committees as required.
- Manage all aspects of day‑to‑day compliance activities in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and Aon UK policies.
- Identify any areas of concern or areas colleview for review / update to Compliance policies, business procedures, training initiatives and the like and escalated / action accordingly.
- Through research of rules and supporting literature, maintain own knowledge of Aon’s regulatory and business standards.
- Actively contribute to the achievement of team and departmental goals / objectives.
- Represent UK Risk & Compliance in discussions with business units and other shared services. Support the wider UK Risk & Compliance team through periods of unexpected workloads and challenge.
- Develop the CCT owned pages of Aon’s internal intranet site (Aon Avenue).

Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Must have general insurance/pensions experience and/or compliance experience. Recognised compliance / regulatory qualification such as ACII, ACoI, (A)FPC or professional qualification is desirable.
- Detailed knowledge of UK FCA regulation and guidance e.g. SUP, DISP, CASS, PERG, ICOBS and COBS etc.
- Ability to identify and analyse organisational needs with solid problem‑sol predefined skills, providing pragmatic solutions.
- Ability to analyse rulesомер and guidance and assessment of their impact on the business.
- Knowledge of regulatory issues facing Aon and the general insurance/pensions industry.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels within the corporation and various business units.
- Demonstrated excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills. Ability to identify and analyse organisational needs with solid problem‑solving abilities, providing pragmatic solutions.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel.
- Proven effective skills in being flexible, creative, team‑oriented and process‑driven.
- Proven ability to resolve moderately complex issues by analyzing diverse data, adapting organisational policies to specific business needs, and applying advanced analytical, technical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Make decisions to determine appropriate action using discretion and independent judgment.
- Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with peers and senior professionals, both internally and externally, to exchange information and make recommendations, leveraging deep functional knowledge to provide consultative advice and guidance.
- Ability to work independently with general instruction and to prioritize and organize work.
- Proven experience of working within a UK compliance function (preferably general insurance, pensions and investments).
