For our Poznan office we are looking for Category Manager Indirect Digital. At the ROCKWOOL Group, we are committed to enriching the lives of everyone, who comes into contact with our products. You will become part of the Indirect team, consisting of people located in Denmark and Poland, managing a global spend of 250MEUR covering areas such as Digital, Facility, Travel, Marketing, Waste handling, Industrial Cleaning, Development Projects, Material Handling Equipment, Professional Services as well as supporting our development of industry 4.0 manufacturing and further digitalization.

What you will be doing

As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for close cooperation with the Vendor Management department in DIGITAL to ensure updated contracts and regular reviews. You will support development and strategic projects within the digital area; have a key focus on securing optimal supplier choice while focusing on sustainability in the procurement process.

Some of your main tasks will be:

  • Support development and strategic projects with procurement and market knowledge from the beginning of the projects
  • Establish in-depth knowledge within the category on projects, technologies, spend, suppliers, relevant markets and risks via networking with internal and external subject matter experts
  • Support non-category colleagues in procurement activities to ensure competitive results
  • Ensure sustainable sourcing within the assigned areas with key focus on Human rights and Environmental impact
  • Lead Cross-functional competence centres within assigned areas according to the strategies for communication, volume bundling, lean sourcing and best practice sharing
  • Be the GSP ambassador towards our DIGITAL dept. and the DIGITAL ambassador towards GSP.
  • Cooperate with Key stakeholders to ensure alignment on sourcing activities and projects on scope, timeline and expected benefits
  • Participate in cross functional projects to develop the procurement function to a more mature level
  • Secure procurement deliverables in projects
  • Develop a 5-quarter rolling activity plan based on the category strategies and stakeholders needs
  • Churn all spend in the assigned area minimum once every 3rd year to ensure competitive conditions
  • Run sourcing activities according to the category strategies for the assigned area
  • Collect and communicate market information to and from relevant stakeholders
  • Prepare regular updates/communications for key stakeholders on achievements and coming activities planned.

You can expect around 20 days of travel per year.

What you bring

We are looking for a colleague who is open-minded to new tasks and pro-active creative thinking.

Moreover, we imagine you have:

  • Commercial business education (or similar) and Procurement experience obtained by working with Category management / procurement activities
  • Procurement experience including: strategy, contracting, negotiation and tenders globally
  • Project management or participation experience managing timelines and resources.
  • Great communication skills, having the ability to clearly convey information and expectations to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work within challenging or changing timelines and deadlines
  • Strong motivation to find opportunities and create results in a fast-changing business environment
  • Proficient user-knowledge of IT systems
  • Fluency in English is a must
  • Driver’s license
