For our procurement department, we are currently looking for a Category Buyer, who will be responsible for the EMEA region. As a Category Buyer for Forgings & Castings, you will be instrumental in shaping our global procurement strategy, driving cost optimization, and fostering strong supplier relationships within KIONs international network.# **Das bieten wir:*** Full support from the experienced and supportive team from the start* Hybrid work and flexible working hours* Private medical care in LuxMed Group* MyBenefit Cafeteria Platform (with Multisport card available)* Group Life Insurance* Employee referral program* Sharing the costs of foreign language courses* 4 hours off work per year for health check-ups ("Dzień na U")* No dress code* Possibility of growth inside an organizationC* Company co-sponsored learning & development opportunities in your area# **Aufgaben und Qualifikationen:****Your Responsibility:*** Develop and implement global purchasing strategies for assigned sub-categories, in close collaboration with the Global Lead.* Analyze existing supplier structures and drive their strategic evolution to meet future global demands.* Define and execute negotiation targets and strategies for significant cost reductions and take full ownership of target achievement.* Lead independent negotiations with suppliers for long-term contracts, pricing agreements and technical savings initiatives.* Identify and implement technical savings initiatives in cooperation with Engineering/R&D.* Manage and develop relationships with global strategic suppliers within the Forgings & Castings categories.* Negotiate and finalize long-term framework and supply agreements.* Prepare and manage high-value award packages.* Coordinate award proposals with internal stakeholders (e.g., Engineering, Logistics) and present to KION Top Management.* Oversee the entire tender process, from invitation to tender through negotiation to contract conclusion.* Foster regular exchange and coordination with global plant purchasing teams and key stakeholders.* Identify and leverage purchasing synergy potential across all European KION plants for Forgings & Castings.* Consolidate global purchasing volumes and lead central negotiations with suppliers worldwide to maximize leverage.* Actively contribute to KIONs sustainability strategy within the procurement function.* Regularly evaluate suppliers and awards based on ESG criteria.* Collaborate with suppliers on measures to reduce our collective CO2 footprint and enhance sustainable practices.**Your Skills and Expertise:*** Experience in the procurement of Forging & Casting* Bachelors degree minimum in Business or Engineering and experience of 5+ years’ as a Category Buyer in Material Handling, Construction, Agriculture, Automotive Tier 1, or similarly demanding environment.* Strategic thinking in the day-to-day decision making.* Strong negotiation skills. Capable of leading negotiations for strategic supply contracts. Ability to develop and understand legal contracts.* Good understanding of product cost breakdowns and experience in methods for TCO management, based on product cost analysis and cost engineering.* Able to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
