This role is within the Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) segment, which is becoming its own independent entity as of January 22, 2025. Aptiv is a global leader in low and high voltage power and signal distribution systems, focused on enabling next‑generation electrified, automated, and connected vehicles.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to support sourcing requirements of up to $250K, run RFx processes, negotiate contracts, and help deliver industry‑leading solutions for automotive manufacturers.

Category Buyer - Consumables – Fixed Term Contract

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing activities related to the acquisition of Consumables (MRO, BPT, Asset Repair, Packaging)
• Negotiate agreements while ensuring compliance with corporate governance requirements
• Run RFx activities
• Solve problems related to third parties raised by the business or by third parties themselves

Requirements

• Previous experience in sourcing Consumables
• Good negotiation skills
• Good understanding of this category
• Strong relationship and interpersonal skills to work with partners across the entire contract lifecycle
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast‑paced matrix environment
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
• Excellent written and verbal communication and problem‑solving skills
• High drive and motivation
• Fluent communication in English
