Circle K (CK) is embarking on an ambitious journey to digitize its system landscape and introduce innovative services. This transformation involves transitioning from legacy platforms to a next-generation CK Card Issuing platform. Our goal is to simplify and standardize the CK B2B operating model, enhancing flexibility, and accelerating our time-to-market with a robust IT platform.

To support this transformation, we are expanding our capabilities in solution architecture and are seeking a skilled Solution Architect with expertise in the Card and B2B Card domain.

Job Description:

Specifies the role within CK’s Fuel and Retail Technology team.

Responsibility for delivering architectural solutions and aligning with a unified European solution.

Emphasis on championing and communicating the project vision, managing architecture production, and collaborating on roadmaps.

Responsibilities:

1. Drive and participate in the architecture development process across all levels: application, data, and infrastructure.
2. Define non-functional requirements and ensure APIs and services adhere to open architecture principles.
3. Identify, manage, and drive the overall architecture for Card and B2B Card domain solutions.
4. Translate business processes and use cases into target solution architectures.
5. Document architecture and high-level designs for solutions and their interactions.
6. Act as a trusted advisor both functionally and technically.
7. Align with other architectural initiatives.
8. Collaborate closely with third-party vendors, internal developers, and software architects.
9. Review and ensure implementation of architectural principles.
10. Present and align with other architecture initiatives and Head of Global Architecture.

Qualifications:

1. Experience across all layers of architecture.
2. Proficiency with open service architecture.
3. Experience with large-scale transformations in multi-vendor environments.
4. Ability to work with business stakeholders and CxO-level executives.
5. Software engineering skills.
6. Knowledge of microservices and integration technologies.
7. Experience with requirement engineering and product backlog management.
8. Familiarity with agile development methodologies and test automation.
9. Ability to facilitate requirements across multiple functional and technical domains.
10. Strong communication skills and proficiency in English.
11. Experience with banking cards or B2B card platforms is a plus.
12. Understanding of industry standards and card security is advantageous.
13. Communication and project management skills.
14. Ability to analyze the needs and priorities of technological projects and make architecture decisions.
