We are seeking an experienced Camunda Developer to design, build, and optimize business process workflows using the Camunda BPM platform. You will collaborate with business analysts, architects, and cross-functional teams to translate process requirements into scalable, automated workflow solutions that improve operational efficiency and drive digital transformation.
Location: Remote, occasional travel to Amsterdam (maybe 3-4 times during the contract)

responsibilities :
Design, develop, and deploy BPMN workflows, DMN decision tables, and process automations using Camunda Platform (7 or 8).
Integrate Camunda workflows with internal and external systems through REST APIs, messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ), microservices, or event-driven architectures.
Build and maintain Java/Spring Boot-based Camunda applications and custom task handlers.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications, models, and executable processes.
Optimize workflows for performance, reliability, and scalability.
Collaborate with DevOps to implement CI/CD pipelines, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud deployments.
Troubleshoot workflow issues and support production environments.
Provide technical guidance on BPM best practices, automation patterns, and process re-engineering.
Maintain documentation of processes, integration points, and technical components.
requirements-expected :
Strong experience with Camunda BPM (7.x or 8.x) including BPMN, DMN, and Cockpit/Operate.
Proficiency in Java and frameworks such as Spring Boot.
Experience building integrations with REST APIs, microservices, or message brokers.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container tools Docker/Kubernetes.
Understanding of event-driven architecture.
Solid knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases.
Experience with unit testing, debugging, and monitoring automated workflows.
Strong problem solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly.
