Join to apply for the C++ Embedded Developer - safety systems role at Sii Poland
We are looking for C++ Embedded Developers to join a newly formed project team. The team will work on software for multi-gas detectors used in the industrial sector. By joining us, you become a member of the Embedded Competence Center at Sii, an internal organizational unit, bringing together more than 500 specialists nationwide. We are currently working on about 100 projects for 50 clients from various industries including automotive, IoT, telecommunications and medical. We focus on development and knowledge exchange by organizing Embedded Academies, training, technical mentoring or enabling project changes.
Your tasks
- Working on software development of multi-gas detectors in accordance with established safety standards
- Implementing new code in C++ version 17, among others
- Writing unit tests
- Creating technical documentation
- Implementation of work in accordance with Agile
- Collaborating with the client and sharing knowledge with other team members in own area of expertise
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in software development for embedded systems in C++ language (14+)
- Knowledge of and experience working with microcontrollers and RTOS
- Knowledge of communication protocols, including UART, SPI, I2C, BLE, among others
- Basic knowledge of Python language
- Experience working with a version control system, such as GIT
- Good knowledge of English - minimum B2
- Ability to work in a team, communication skills
- Openness to business travel – implementation at the clients site in Germany, with trips once every 3-4 months for a few days
Nice to have
- Experience in functional safety and low energy device development
- Previous work in the regulated industry
- Familiarity with CMake, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, NFC, TouchGFX
