We are looking for C++ Embedded Developers to join a newly formed project team. The team will work on software for multi‑gas detectors used in the industrial sector.

Overview

By joining us, you become a member of the Embedded Competence Center at Sii, an internal organizational unit that brings together more than 500 specialists nationwide. We currently work on about 100 projects for 50 clients across industries such as automotive, IoT, telecommunications, and medical. We focus on development and knowledge exchange through Embedded Academies, training, technical mentoring, and enabling project changes.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for multi‑gas detectors in accordance with safety standards
• Implement new code in C++17
• Write unit tests
• Create technical documentation
• Work in Agile environments
• Collaborate with clients and share knowledge with team members

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of embedded C++ software development experience
• Experience with microcontrollers and RTOS
• Knowledge of communication protocols: UART, SPI, I2C, BLE
• Basic Python knowledge
• Experience with version control (Git)
• English proficiency at least B2
• Teamwork and communication skills
• Willingness to travel to client site in Germany (once every 3–4 months)

Nice to Have

• Experience in functional safety and low‑energy device development
• Prior work in regulated industry
• Familiarity with CMake, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, NFC, TouchGFX
