Job Overview

TE Connectivitys Purchasing Teams are responsible for obtaining materials, components, equipment, and services, gathering quotations, examining bids, and awarding contracts. They perform cost analysis and volume planning for commodities, evaluate vendor reliability, and develop new supply sources where required. They coordinate purchasing activities with the manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels and monitor cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value. They also look for and recommend cost-saving proposals including make vs. buy analysis, alternative sourcing, and vendor evaluation criteria, as well as develop specifications for new contract orders.

This position will report to the PSC Team Leader and be a member of the PSC teams focusing on PR/PO processing, compliance checks, supplier set-up/change requests, procurement helpdesk, invoice price issues resolutions, and many more.

  2. Experience working for a Manufacturing company preferred
  3. Good understanding of end-to-end S2P processes and associated technology platforms

Additional Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support migration of Indirect Procurement processes from EMEA countries to Krakow and prepare Indirect Procurement related process documentation (process maps and work instructions)
  2. Become a Subject Matter Expert for Indirect Procurement related topics
  3. Handle and resolve escalated procurement processing issues
  4. Answer and resolve suppliers, stakeholders, and AP queries to ensure timely resolution
  5. Maintain supplier master data information in relevant systems
  6. Ensure proper processing of PR’s and PO’s
  7. Perform compliance checks
  8. Expedite POs
  9. Answer tickets (Procurement Helpdesk)
  10. Manage invoice pricing issues
  11. Create, maintain Info Record & source lists
  12. Spot Buy / Requisition Based Sourcing
  13. Execute all procurement activities in-scope
  14. Prepare and process eRFQ’s
  15. Smaller Contract (value/complexity) negotiation & execution
  16. Execution of Projects assigned by Commodity Management
  17. Desk Research and Price Comparison
  18. Supplier training on tools
  19. End-user Trainings
  20. Savings reporting
  21. Maintain communication with suppliers, stakeholders, and other Indirect Procurement members
  22. Execute periodically PR/PO audit queries or upon request KPI’s measurements
  23. Ensure compliance with applicable TE policies
  24. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the function, ensuring that improvements are incorporated in the work routine
  25. Support robust compliance environment with applicable policies, procedures, and processes
  26. Build relationships with key stakeholders including suppliers
  27. Support local BU owners, Function representatives, or other Procurement team members to solve issues in a timely manner
  28. Attend team meetings and trainings as required

Qualifications and Business Competencies:

  1. Good Experience in Indirect Procurement (5+ years)
  2. Previous experience in a shared service environment
  3. Good MS Office skills; very good Excel and other relevant tools for the function
  4. SAP PR2, S/4
  5. Good communication skills
  6. Very good English language skills in speech and writing + additional European language on top of Polish preferred
  7. Diversified Industrial Products/Manufacturing industry experience preferred
  8. Good command of other languages is a very important asset
