In this role, you will be managing and controlling Brown-Forman Europe procurement activities including Sales and Marketing materials in addition to all other related sourcing for this division.

You will establish an effective and trusted business partnership with the Brown-Forman Europe Procurement team and the Global Procurement and Logistics team, as well as a wide range of internal customers across all departments, taking ownership for all the procurement activities, including sourcing, control, execution, and supplier management.

What You Can Expect

Sourcing

1. Procure goods and services as required by internal customers at the best cost, ensuring quality specifications, while delivering in a timely manner, leveraging internal tools (Coupa, Concur, SAP, Smartsheets etc.) and ensuring that we drive spend towards preferred suppliers;
2. Identify, select and negotiate with new and existing providers and vendors that meet Brown-Forman specifications, according to the corporate sourcing strategy;
3. Identify fresh sourcing opportunities through regularly running spend reports and analyzing data;
4. Track purchases and negotiate delivery times. Communicate status of purchases/deliveries to stakeholders as needed;
5. Deliver value in our procurement process for goods/services by focusing on innovation, service, quality, risk mitigation and overall costs;
6. Adhere to standardized B-F Sourcing Policies and Procedures.

Control and Execution

1. Coordinate and communicate with suppliers and carriers to ensure that specified delivery dates are met on purchase orders issued by the purchasing group;
2. Review and resolve claims and complaints with suppliers regarding unsatisfactory materials and services;
3. Provide direction to site-level personnel responsible for tactical execution of packaging category strategies;
4. Ensure POs are issued properly and Smartsheet trackers accurately maintained;
5. Support the European procurement leadership in implementing and championing procurement best practices.
6. Maintain an understanding of supply base on a local, regional and global level;
7. Build effective, consistent, and equitable supplier relationships while maintaining a high standard of ethics. Meet regularly with suppliers to build rapport and serve as the primary point of contact for local suppliers;
8. Perform periodic supplier reviews for select suppliers to ensure performance standards are maintained.

Business Partnering

1. Work closely with colleagues across all departments including Sales, Marketing, and Finance to understand their needs and to ensure consistent availability of materials and services, at the right quality, quantity, and time;
2. Partner with Global Procurement Category Managers and PTP Process Architect to execute the regional strategic sourcing decisions and to use the standard process and tools to deliver the work;
3. Make recommendations to optimize costs and/or improve services.

What You Bring to the Table

1. Experience in Procurement or Purchasing;
2. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business or related discipline;
3. Demonstrated ability to make clear and concise oral and written communications especially in describing materials and completed packages;
4. Proven track record of successful related work within a changing environment;
5. Demonstrated ability to work in an administrative capacity including budget development and control;
6. Demonstrated organization skills with attention to detail;
7. Strong interpersonal skills; able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of internal and external contacts and with diverse cultures;
8. Demonstrated ability to make decisions independently based on logical assumptions and factual information.

What Makes You Unique

1. Prior experience in wine and spirits or luxury FMCG industries;
2. CIPS qualified, or studying towards;
3. Involvement in Tender Management and contract negotiation;
4. Experience with Coupa, SAP, and other procurement tools.
