Team/Role Overview

The Operational Risk & Controls Analyst provides operational/service leadership as part of the EUC (End User Computing) Governance Team. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge through provision of value-added perspectives or advisory services. May contribute to the development of new techniques, models and plans within area of EUC expertise. Execute Risk Control coverage strategy, ensure appropriate risk mitigation actions are in place and escalate to senior management as appropriate. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required.

In general, the Operational Risk & Controls Analyst has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness of end results. Work affects an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.

What you’ll do

• Key member of the EUC (End User Computing) Governance team within Securities Services Business
• Applying understanding of the Securities Services business impact of technical contributions. Requires basic commercial awareness of Securities Services Business
• Implement a best in practice Testing and Governance model to ensure EUCs are properly registered, categorized and prioritized for strategic solution remediation
• Monitoring progress against risk reduction methods linked to EUC Retirement Process Evidencing, documenting and escalating any risks, issues or challenges that might impact the ability to meet the targets
• Analyzing EUC Policy Conformance Metrics, identifying and cataloguing exceptions
• Reporting to the head of SSO EUC Governance team
• Support on other major Risk and Control initiatives as they relate to the Securities Services Business
• Drive a culture of risk awareness and best practice with regards to EUCs

What we’ll need from you

• 5-8 years of relevant experience
• Experience in risk management and/or regulatory compliance in one or more of the following risk disciplines: technology risk, business continuity, operational risk, or audit and controls
• Preferred to have governance experience with demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed critical milestones
• Experience of being part of global team across multiple locations
• Bachelor/University Degree preferred
• Good Understanding of Citi’s Securities Services Business preferred
• Be able to challenge but also support Operations stakeholders as and when necessary to drive good risk outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills
