This role reports to the Process Excellence leader and leads a small team. They will be responsible for projects managed by their team, ensuring process discovery and mapping. They will collaborate with business team members to run structured workshops, interviews and data reviews and develop understanding of processes for sign‑off. This will create opportunities to identify waste/failure modes, design improvements, and quantify impact (time/volume/cost/FTE) through adoption of process changes and automation.

What The Day Will Look Like

  • Team Management and Leadership: Lead and coach a pod of 3‑5 BPM Process Analysts; plan capacity and deliverables (sprint/quarterly); provide day‑to‑day direction, coaching and performance input; coordinate training/onboarding to scale BPM.
  • PRIME BPM/BPMN Execution: Run discovery and Library build workshops and interviews; deliver As‑Is/To‑Be mapping projects; enforce taxonomy and PRIME naming conventions across frameworks, roles, systems, and documents.
  • Adoption & Enablement: Enable process owners/SMEs with BPM platform, drive and increase PRIME adoption and data hygiene; track usage.
  • Consistency & Taxonomy: Apply shared taxonomy/templates; maintain clean metadata (roles/systems/documents); drive clean‑up and publishing; coordinate role cleanup and map publishing across libraries.
  • Analyzing information: Collecting data, researching processes, and analyzing information.
  • Process Improvement: Strong ability to identify, analyse, design, and optimize business processes through process transformation and improvement to improve efficiency and drive innovation.
  • Drive Process Quality: Provides support to align with the governance model, ensuring opportunities are assessed, selected and prioritised with a strategic lens and agnostic of tool.
  • Governance Support (Intake/Prioritization/Tollgates): Execute governance cadence for your scope (intake, prioritization, tollgates); raise risks/RAID; recommend opportunities to the Business Leaders; contribute to standards, without owning enterprise governance.

How This Opportunity Is Different

The global business process management (BPM) team is responsible for identifying, analysing, designing, and optimizing processes across Aon. BPM is part of Shared Operations and partners with stakeholders across solutions and geographies. Focussed on efficiency and effectiveness, the BPM team’s goal is to transform process delivering improved client and colleague experience whilst lowering cost.

Skills And Experience That Will Lead To Success

  • BS degree in business administration or scientific field or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 to 8 years experience in a large/multi‑national organization.
  • 3+ year of project management leadership experience, ideally in global projects.
  • 2+ years leading pods/workstreams or projects (global exposure a plus).
  • Self‑motivated; able to operate autonomously while driving pod and stakeholder outcomes.
  • Strong facilitation, communication and stakeholder management; ability to influence without authority.
  • Ability to make agile decisions and establish business process and.
  • Ability to drive others to decisions and indirectly lead project and process teams.
  • Solid understanding of process governance - Lean Six Sigma (GB/BB) preferred.
  • Strong Project management skills - PMP (or similar) Certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of financial or professional services.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
