It has extensive experience in storing and processing large data sets, including multi-petabyte Earth observation satellite data repositories. CloudFerros solutions are used by leading companies and scientific institutions in Europe across various sectors that process large data sets, such as the European Space Agency (ESA), EUMETSAT, ECMWF, Mercator Ocean International, DLR, EGI, and others.

Business Development Specialist
Job Summary:
Join our Strategy & New Business team at an ambitious Polish company aiming to become Europes leading provider of space cloud services. We seek a dynamic professional who thrives in high-tech environments and excels at building relationships with scientists and technical experts. If you combine strategic thinking with practical action and enjoy exploring new business opportunities, we are the right place for you.
Main areas of responsibilities:
R&D Funding
- Identify and support applications for R&D funds (Horizon Europe, EDF, ESA programs, NCBR programs, etc.),
- Collaborate with technical teams in preparing grant applications,
- Monitor funding opportunities for innovative projects in cloud computing and Earth Observation,
- Support in managing a portfolio of active R&D projects.
Business Development
- Develop strategic partnerships with technology companies, research institutions, and international organizations,
- Conduct market analysis of cloud computing services in space and EO sectors,
- Support the identification of new business opportunities and market segments,
- Build relationships with startups in space tech, cloud computing, Big Data, etc., and with ecosystem institutions,
- Technology scouting — identify emerging technologies.
Required qualifications:
- Higher education (preferably in economics, finance, computer science, geoinformatics, mathematics),
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in business development, grant writing, or venture capital,
- Experience working with R&D funds (EU, national, sectoral),
- Knowledge of the startup ecosystem (experience with VC, accelerators, incubators preferred),
- Experience in preparing grant applications and business plans,
- Ability to analyze markets and competitors,
- Knowledge of business models in the tech industry (SaaS, cloud services),
- Experience in building strategic partnerships.
