Our Client helps food processors solve for labor and food safety obstacles by bringing equipment, robotic automation, and other technologically innovative solutions to food production plants, from infeed through processing to final packaging.
While we specialize in fruits and vegetables, we design, engineer, source, integrate, and install equipment and turn-key line solutions for food processors around the world, using a combination of in-house and globally sourced equipment and technologies.
Seeking a highly motivated BDM with a proven track record of selling capital equipment or process systems ranging in costs from $30k to $2m+. The BDM must be a consummate professional working with the entire team to provide the best solution to the customer. The BDM will be supported by a team of inside sales professionals, customer service representatives, business development coordinators, sales leadership, and a full team of engineering and operational professionals.
The potential customers of custom-designed systems for fruit & vegetable processing require the applicant to be skilled in technical verbal and written communication with the ability to identify potential customers, make initial contacts, overcome objections, and close and support the sale to delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Receive leads from Marketing and networking, develop the Western European market.
- Sell capital equipment or process systems ranging in costs from $30k to $2m+.
- Work with the entire team to provide the best solution to the customer.
- Support the sales process from initial contact to delivery.
Requirements:
- Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Self-starter with a highly motivated work ethic.
- Customer focus with the ability to communicate with people from all levels, including the CTO & CEO.
- Strong organizational skills and a high comfort level with computers, finance, and business.
- Strong computer skills (Office 365, CRM, ERP, etc.).
- 5+ years of experience in Sales or Manufacturing.
- Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, or a Technical Field preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude is a significant plus (understanding layout and equipment prints from CAD Software).
- Fluent in English; other western European languages are an advantage.
- Business travels: 70%, mostly to the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, UK, Spain, and Italy.
