Eastern Europe has been identified as a priority growth region, with Poland serving as the initial hub and further expansion planned across select Central and Southern European markets.
Role Overview
The Regional Business Development Manager will be responsible for establishing and scaling the company’s commercial presence across Eastern Europe. The role will initially focus on Oral Care, with subsequent responsibility for additional personal care and wellness categories. This position carries end-to-end responsibility for regional growth, including distributor setup, retail expansion, commercial planning, and financial performance. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the business over a medium-term horizon (3–5 years).
Key Responsibilities
Market Entry & Commercial Expansion
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies for Poland and selected neighboring markets (e.g., Hungary, Romania, Croatia, Slovenia).
- Identify, onboard, and manage distribution partners and strategic retail accounts.
- Secure product listings and shelf presence across leading drugstores, grocery multiples, and online platforms.
- Lead commercial negotiations covering pricing, trade terms, and promotional agreements.
- Hold full accountability for regional revenue, costs, and profitability.
- Build and manage annual operating plans and forecasts.
- Design and implement joint business plans with key partners.
- Optimize pricing architecture, promotional investments, and trade spend.
Portfolio & Brand Development
- Assess portfolio performance and recommend adaptations to suit local consumer needs.
- Provide market insights related to competition, pricing, and category trends.
- Partner with internal teams (marketing, supply chain, finance, innovation) to ensure market-relevant execution.
Retail Execution & Trade Activation
- Develop strong commercial presentations and sell-in materials.
- Define and manage annual promotional and activation plans.
- Ensure effective in-store execution in collaboration with local partners.
- Track market developments, competitor activity, and channel performance.
- Deliver regular performance updates and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
Candidate Profile
Experience & Education
- University degree in business, marketing, or a related discipline; postgraduate qualification is a plus.
- Approximately 8–12 years of experience in FMCG or consumer goods, with exposure to Eastern or Central European markets.
- Demonstrated success in distributor-led business models and modern trade development.
- Hands‑on experience working with major drugstore, grocery, and specialty retail chains.
- Background in personal care, wellness, or health-related categories is advantageous.

- Ability to operate independently in a developing regional structure.
- Analytical mindset with a strong understanding of P&L management.

- Fluent in English; additional regional language skills are beneficial.
