Responsibilities

  • Identifying new business opportunities, contacting potential clients to establish relationships and maintaining existing customer relationships, as well as identifying opportunities for upselling and scaling to increase sales.
  • Developing new sales areas through partnerships.
  • Researching the latest industry trends and creating new opportunities to expand the business area.
  • Collaborating with Baltic Control countries/partners to ensure that requirements are met, such as sales figures and profit targets.
  • Participating in and representing the Baltic Control Group at trade fairs, seminars, and events.
  • Reporting to Business Unit Manager.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, International Trade, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or key account management, ideally in global inspection, testing, certification or logistics industries.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales growth and developing new business in international markets.
  • Strong commercial and strategic mindset, data‑driven approach, ability to analyze markets and develop strategic sales plans.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship‑building skills and ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.
  • Established network within commodities, agriculture, or inspection sectors as well as possessing a strong understanding of the company’s services is an asset.
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations, contract management, and tender processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
  • Familiarity with digital sales, analytics, or automation tools is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) required; additional languages (e.g. Norwegian, French) are an asset.
  • Willingness to travel internationally to meet clients, attend fairs and represent the company.

We’re creating a new role at Baltic Control Group for the Business Development Manager. You will play a key role in expanding Baltic Control’s commercial footprint by identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and developing strategic partnerships. You will collaborate closely with our international offices, partners and management team to ensure that business targets, sales performance and profitability goals are achieved.
