Business Development Administration Manager

The Business Development Administration Manager is responsible for overseeing the strategic growth and operational excellence of the BDA team. This role focuses on enhancing client engagement and optimising team performance. The successful candidate will lead, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a high-performance culture aligned with AVASK’s objectives.
Day-to-day Responsibilities:
- Manage and streamline the process for addressing new company enquiries, ensuring response times and solutions align with company standards.
- Supervise client communication, providing in-depth guidance on VAT registration and compliance requirements, ensuring client needs are met promptly and effectively.
- Manage the submission process for VAT registrations, ensuring adherence to deadlines and compliance standards while implementing efficiency measures.
- Oversee and manage relationships with stakeholders and tax authorities, ensuring smooth processing and follow-up on pending VAT registrations.
- Ensure that clients receive timely and accurate updates on the progress of their VAT applications or compliance matters, maintaining high standards of service.
- Oversee the maintenance of up-to-date client records, ensuring proper tracking of VAT applications and overseeing the issuance of VAT certificates.
- Ensure that the appropriate compliance officer is notified when a VAT number is activated for a client, maintaining accountability and compliance across processes.
People Management:
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the BDA team, focusing on continuous improvement and efficiency while ensuring alignment with company policies and standards.
- Strategically allocate resources and assign tasks, setting clear deadlines and ensuring that all deliverables meet quality and time expectations.
- Monitor team performance closely, using metrics and data analytics to evaluate outcomes, identify trends, and prepare comprehensive reports for senior management.
- Develop and implement training initiatives based on the team’s needs, ensuring that coaching programs align with individual development plans and overall team capability enhancement.
- Stay informed about industry regulations and tax authority changes, translating these into actionable updates and strategic plans communicated to the team.
Qualifications:
- Educated to Masters or Business Degree Level.
- Accounting and tax knowledge.
- Experienced at implementing change to maximise efficiency in processes, results, and team structure.
- Proven track record of experience in supervising, leading, and coaching a team.
- Working knowledge of VAT and its application.
- Excellent communication and time management skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent systems experience including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
