We are currently seeking a Business Capability Architect to support a client project. This is a key position in the Global Business Architecture team reporting to the Principal Business Architect and will support the build-out and management of the Business Capability Model.

The Business Capability Architect will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the Business Architecture practice under the leadership, direction, and guidance of the Principal Business Architect and other areas of the business to ensure alignment to the Business Architecture Framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge in Enterprise Business Capability, Business Architecture, and Process Excellence disciplines.
• Independently and in partnership with subject matter experts of Business Capabilities, define and align business capability roadmap(s) across multiple lines of business.
• Support the development of the Capability Model along an enterprise mindset to provide input into the maturity design, optimisation, and simplification of the Business Model.
• Support the expansion to promote the Capability Model as the common language of “what” our client does to create desired business outcomes and experiences.
• Collaborate with Business Capability Owners and key stakeholders (Business Process Owners, Data Owners, and Technology Leads) on leveraging the Capability Model to deliver value in the form of strategic realisation & prioritisation, transformation, and solutioning.
• Provide influential support and collaboration with data and technology architecture teams to incorporate business architecture principles and design patterns to increase consistency and operability across the Group.
• Provide input into the delivery of strategic roadmaps to build and extend business capabilities.
• Support the activities to drive the adoption of Business Architecture tools for connecting, discovering, and visualising the enabling components that work together to enable business capabilities.

Knowledge and Experience

• Proven experience (3-5 years) in business architecture, business process management, or a related field, preferably in the financial services industry.
• Solid understanding of business architecture concepts and best practices with the ability to advocate for leveraging the enterprise business capability framework to deliver business value.
• Support governance activities to enable effective management and decision-making.
• Architecture/Business Design and analysis modeling techniques, tools, and standard development.
• Understanding of the creation and maintenance of business process models aligned with Group Business Architecture standards.
• 3+ years working with business architecture-related tools.
• Experience using model-based representations that can be adjusted as required to collect, aggregate, or disaggregate complex and conflicting information about the business.
• The ability to visualise and create high-level models that can be used in future analysis to extend and mature the business architecture.
• Experience modelling business capabilities and processes using a variety of tools and techniques.
• Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all organisational levels.
• Strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in business architecture: BizBok / TOGAF Certified or equivalent.
