Business Analyst (SimCorp)​

Your responsibilities

  • working closely with multiple stakeholders to gather, analyze, and define current business processes as well as requirements
  • translating business requirements into detailed functional specifications
  • developing, customizing, and maintaining the Core Application SimCorp Dimension (SCD), especially expert in authorization (IAM) and benchmark processes
  • supporting the Project Manager in delivering the project plan on time and on budget, following Munich Re’s project methodologies
  • ensuring requirements issues are tracked, reported, and resolved promptly
  • effectively communicating plan, status, risks, and issues to the stakeholders in a precise and timely manner
  • supporting users participation in deployments and implementation activities
  • providing traceability of requirements and subsequent change requests, tracking the delivery of those requirements by the project team
  • assist with business testing preparation and execution on project deliverables, ensuring the solution meets business expectations based upon approved project scope
  • creating an appropriate level of product documentation (required for maintenance and support)

Our requirements

  • fluent command of Business English
  • university degree in Computer Engineering/IT, Business Administration, Liberal Arts, Social Sciences, or a similar field
  • several years of business analysis or related experience, ideally within IT or data-related projects
  • advanced business knowledge about the asset or investment management business
  • good understanding of the technical asset management infrastructure is an asset; ideally familiar with our core system SimCorp Dimension
  • demonstrated the ability to work globally across entities and cultures
  • history of leading or supporting successful projects
  • exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
  • strong planning, organizational, and time management skills

Optional

  • Business German proficiency
  • ITIL certification or willingness to pursue one
  • experience in existing Asset Management back-office functionalities, e.g. performance management, direct investments, Crystal Reports, SQL, and additional applications in the Asset Management environment

About the role

As a Business Analyst, you will be the primary liaison between project teams and their stakeholders in business units, Group functions, and/or externally. You’ll elicit requirements, and shape business needs, ensuring the scope is clearly understood and articulated at the project outset. You’ll work with project sponsors and managers throughout projects to ensure that requirements are being met and that issues are managed proactively.
