about-project :


  • Open Banking Product (OBP) is a joint business and operations, cross line of business function responsible for the implementation and ongoing management of HSBC’s Open Banking services globally. The function partners with Open Banking Technology to develop and manage customer-facing digital solutions used by 1.5m customers across 20 geographies, including both home markets of UK & HK. The two functions of OB Product and OB Technology operate as a single cross-functional function titled Open Banking Shared Services (OBSS).

responsibilities :


  • Work collaboratively with delivery partners in OB Technology and in the business and technology teams within our Lines of Business (Personal, Business and Corporate Banking).
  • Analyse regulatory and discretionary Open Banking requirements from HSBC’s markets around the world.
  • Understand the impact of new initiatives on the existing Open Banking platform and operations.
  • Define business requirements.
  • Agree design principles and develop design options.
  • Challenge stakeholders in a constructive manner and facilitate the process of reaching agreed design positions across stakeholder groups.
  • Define support models for new services to ensure operational readiness.

requirements-expected :


  • Good understanding of Open Banking both in terms of regulatory requirements and the technology concepts which enable it.
  • Extensive experience of business analysis, requirements definition and design activity, across a mix of business and technology focused projects.
  • Ability to articulate complex information in a clear, meaningful and structured way to suit the audience.
  • Ability to anticipate issues and risks and act to mitigate or escalate these quickly.
  • Ability to bring structure to undefined problems or unclear scenarios, making them easier to address and solve.
  • Ability to quickly build effective working relationships across different teams and a proven ability to work with senior stakeholders.
  • Be highly proactive and able to operate with a high degree of autonomy and flexibility.
  • Be able to operate effectively in a fast paced environment in a large and complex organisation.
