Business Analyst in Payments & Card Acceptance Team

We are looking for an Analyst to join our Payments & Card Acceptance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing business requirements, designing process solutions, and supporting the implementation of card payment systems. This role combines strong business acumen with solid technical understanding in payment processing.
Scope of Duties
- Analyze and model business processes in card issuing, acceptance, transaction clearing and other areas.
- Prepare functional and non-functional requirements for systems.
- Collaborate with IT teams, developers, external vendors, and payment industry regulators.
- Participate in projects related to POS terminals, e‑commerce payment gateways, and transaction authorization and settlement platforms.
- Conduct data analysis of transactions to identify operational improvement areas.
- Prepare process documentation, user guides, and analytical reports.
- Utilise EY.AI: AI‑powered solutions for analysis, insights and innovative ideas. After training, use EYQ virtual assistant and other EY tools to enhance work.
Our Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, IT, Finance or related fields.
- 2–3 years of experience in card acceptance, settlement, or payment bank’s system operations.
- Knowledge of authorization, settlement, and chargeback processes.
- Understanding of industry standards (EMV, PCI DSS, ISO 8583).
- Ability to create analytical and technical documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- English and Polish language proficiency at B2 or higher.
Desirable
- Experience in implementation projects for payment systems (e.g., ACI, Visiona, Fiserv, Worldline, eService).
- Knowledge of communication standards in electronic payments.
- Participation in optimization or transformation projects in banking or fintech sectors.
