We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our Financial Markets division based in Warszawa. This role involves translating complex business requirements into detailed Finance user requirements, acting as the single point of contact for end‑to‑end initiatives within the squad or program level. You will coordinate and facilitate activities, support the product owner in backlog management by converting epics into actionable features and user stories, and perform thorough information and data analysis to ensure quality and accuracy in end‑user processes.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Management Accounting & Control, Business IT, Accountancy, Business Economics, or a related field; exceptional academic performance is advantageous
• More than five years of experience in the financial industry with in‑depth knowledge of Wholesale Banking product accounting concepts
• Comprehensive understanding of banking processes and complex Financial market products
• Proficient knowledge of product accounting concepts
• Experience working with SQL for data analysis and impact assessment
• Ability to produce functional designs and impact analyses
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with international stakeholders
• Proactive attitude and ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• English proficiency at a C1 level
• Knowledge of Hedge Accounting concepts
• Familiarity with Agile working methodologies and tools
• Experience with FMGT FrontOffice and BackOffice systems such as Murex, Summit, Sophis, and Calypso
• Skills in creating and executing test plans, test cases, and conducting functional, acceptance, and migration testing
• Affinity for IT and innovation

Key responsibilities

Key responsibilities include maintaining event‑based product accounting specifications for financial market and treasury products such as FX, Money Markets, Swaps, Securities, and Repo products.

You will also define and maintain non‑product‑related ledger processes and services, including Cost of Funding, as well as maintain comprehensive documentation, such as user manuals and quick reference guides, for end users.

Your role will encompass implementing and maintaining minimum accounting standard controls, supporting strategic initiatives through functional, acceptance, and migration testing, and collaborating closely with IT to translate solution designs into IT solutions.

Additionally, you will provide second‑line functional support, including daily monitoring of end‑of‑day processes to ensure timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of financial and product accounting, reporting, reconciliations, and ledger activities.
