Business Analyst
Your responsibilities
- Establish and oversee processes for measuring license consumption across relevant products (including licenses, software, and consumption-based models). Conduct regular evaluations and reviews to ensure adherence to software licensing terms and conditions. Identify potential non-compliance risks or issues and take corrective measures where necessary.
- Design and enforce guidelines and policies for license utilization to ensure compliance and optimize resource usage. Collaborate with key stakeholders to craft policies that align with organizational goals and industry standards.
- Examine license usage data to pinpoint areas for improvement. Identify unused or underutilized licenses, investigate reassignment possibilities, and propose strategies for optimizing license distribution and usage.
- Take charge of managing contracts and vendor relationships to maximize cost-efficiency and value in software licensing, maintenance, and service agreements.
- Maintain a centralized repository for license agreements, contracts, purchase orders, and invoice records. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date, accurately categorized, and readily accessible.
- Support the software procurement process and ensure it adheres to Volvo Group policies.
- Assist in preparing and monitoring the consolidated budget for software products and licenses.
- Act as the primary contact during external audits.
- Provide support for strategic, operational, and commercial discussions, as well as decision-making processes affecting software and licenses (aligned with the vendor engagement framework).
- Offer guidance to project managers, program leaders, infrastructure teams, and application portfolio managers regarding software licensing, compliance, and actions to optimize the software portfolio.
- Stay informed about developments in the field, including new licensing models, emerging trends, and active participation in related communities.

Our requirements
- Extensive experience in license management and administration, including end-user/desktop software and mid-tier software products and services.
- Demonstrated expertise in licensing principles and contractual aspects for end-user/desktop software and mid-tier software products.
- Proven ability to lead in a global context, with strong cross-cultural awareness and skills.
- Familiarity with ITSM and SAM tools (e.g., SAM Pro, FNMEA, FNMS, FlexeraOne) as an additional asset.
- Strong skills in full-cycle (end-to-end) management and a proactive, initiative-driven approach.
- Capability to identify, understand, and prioritize the interests, needs, and concerns of various stakeholders, including executive-level, from a SAM perspective.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, along with comfort in multi-source data analysis.
- Technical background as an advantage.
- Relevant university degree.
- Complete fluency in English as a mandatory requirement.
- Experience in vendor management considered beneficial.
