Project



The project involves conducting investigations into client customers to identify potential circumvention and evasion (C&E) risks. The end-to-end process includes customer analysis, where the investigator will investigate transactions and conduct counterparty analysis to identify beneficial owners. Adverse media monitoring will also be part of the process, focusing on identifying negative information related to customers. Additionally, the investigator will assess connections to Russia by analyzing direct and indirect links. C&E assessments will be outlined for each customer, and if the assessments are inconclusive, the investigator will draft Requests for Information (RFIs) to be sent to the customer, inquiring about transactions, counterparties, and changes in business activity. This work involves collaborating with various Business Areas to coordinate questions and perform detailed reviews of RFI responses.


Expected competences and knowledge

  • Skilled in conducting complex investigations, specialising in transactions, customer-counterparty analysis, reviews of corporate records and adverse media.
  • Deep understanding of the relevant and applicable sanctions regimes, understanding activity that may be prohibited, and identifying activity that may be in breach of sanctions regulations.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity and experience with Orbis and Dow Jones is also beneficial, and would be expected from an investigator experienced in conducting complex customer-counterparty investigations.
