Purpose of the Team

The Data Management Solutions (DMS) Team plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of insurance data received from US insurance companies. Our Team is divided into two key areas: Operational Team and Data Platform Team. We are currently seeking a Junior Business Analyst for the Operational Team, which operates globally.

Job Description

As the first point of contact for insurance data submissions, our Team is responsible for engaging with clients, obtaining and validating data in compliance with Statistical Plans – regulatory guidelines set by various statistical agencies. We analyze incoming datasets, design transformation mappings, and standardize client data into a unified format, enabling seamless aggregation and integration into Verisk’s analytical and reporting systems. Our work supports regulatory reporting obligations and provides valuable data-driven insights for the broader insurance industry.

Purpose of the Role

A successful Insurance Business Analysis Team Lead manages a team of business analysts, ensuring project goals and timelines are met while balancing leadership responsibilities with hands‑on project execution. This role is pivotal in driving high-quality data analysis, fostering team development, and aligning business analysis activities with organizational objectives. You will lead the team that supports efforts to streamline and modernize data contribution processes by leveraging scalable economies and advanced reporting solutions.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of business analysts, assigning tasks and monitoring progress.
• Project Leadership: Manage multiple large-scale business analysis projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and business objectives.
• Strategic Guidance: Act as a liaison between the team and senior management, reporting progress and addressing obstacles.
• Process Improvement: Ensure that business analysis processes are continually improved to meet changing business needs.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments to align project goals and resolve cross‑functional challenges.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior analysts, fostering skill development and career growth.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English (at least C1 spoken and written).
• Knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, formulas, conditional formatting).
• Familiarity with SQL and Python (basic to intermediate proficiency).
• Strong team management and delegation skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate across departments and oversee complex projects.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership capabilities.
• 5+ years of experience in business analysis, including leadership roles.
• Ability to align business analysis with company goals and industry trends.
• Ability to manage competing, high‑priority demands and prioritize workloads against strict deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model from the office based in Kraków City Center as a full‑time employee.
