Building Services Engineer Overview

We are currently looking for a Building Services Engineer to join a growing team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working directly on site, carrying out maintenance, repairs, and installations. Responsibilities

• Carry out installation, maintenance, and repair work across a wide range of building service systems, including HVAC, lighting, power and water systems
• Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics to identify faults and areas for improvement in building services systems
• Ensure all work is completed in line with relevant safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards
• Manage planned maintenance schedules to ensure systems are running efficiently and prevent unexpected breakdowns
• Liaise with site managers and other contractors to ensure smooth coordination of work across various sites
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests, troubleshooting and resolving issues quickly and effectively
• Assist in the commissioning of new systems, ensuring proper integration with existing infrastructure
• Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, including repairs, inspections and installations
• Provide clients with technical support and advice on best practices for system maintenance and energy efficiency

Skills & Experience

• A relevant Qualification in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in building services engineering with a focus on hands on work, maintenance and system installation.
• Experience working with various building services systems, including HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, lighting and fire alarm systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to problem solving and fault resolution.
• Ability to work independently, take responsibility for your own tasks, and manage your time effectively across multiple sites.
• Full UK driving licence (or equivalent).
• Experience with BMS (Building Management Systems) or smart building technology would be advantageous.
• CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) or equivalent is a plus.
• Additional certifications in fire alarm systems or access control would be beneficial.
