about-project :


  • As a Big Data Engineer at Orange you will use your expertise in the field of Data solutions and data pipeline development to enable the processing of a significant volume of data for various stakeholders (including Data Visualization, Data Scientists, and Data Analysts) in the GSP (Global Support for Performance which is the GBS Finance of the Orange Group). You will work with a focus on overall satisfaction, taking into account both economic and human dimensions.
  • This position offers remote or hybrid work model and involves periodical visits to our Lublin office.

responsibilities :


  • Designing and developing Data/AI solutions for analytics & dashboarding purposes
  • Assisting the Business in understanding Analytics and implementing "data-driven" solutions by communicating and translating complex results and their implications to the companys stakeholders
  • Capitalizing on solutions to create new products, new services, and new opportunities for digitalization and data valorization by implementing industrial solutions that are usable, measurable, and operable
  • Performing technological monitoring on all tools around data, AI, and BI
  • Collaborating with Data Scientists and Data Ops in building a data-driven culture, ensuring a high level of expertise and actively participating in the community of Data Scientists and Data Engineers
  • Contributing to the development of the BI and Big Data team members

requirements-expected :


  • Strong leadership and demonstrated ability to work with both technical and business teams (Supply Chain, Purchasing, Finance, Sales, Customer Services, Digital)
  • Familiarity with the Data and AI ecosystem (Cloudera Data Platform, Google Cloud Platform, etc.), data processing value chain and data security challenges
  • Good grasp of data analysis methods (statistical theory, algorithmics), computer technologies for manipulating databases (Oracle, Postgres, NoSQL, etc.) and frameworks like Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Oozie, Nifi, Jupyter, Kafka, etc.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (SQL, Scala, Python, Java, Shell, etc.) that enable you to be autonomous in data manipulation
  • Experience with BI and data visualization tools (e.g Power BI, etc.)
  • Strong statistical skills, mastery of predictive models and ability to adapt and harmonize them to different contexts
  • Capability of quickly upskilling in new domains and new technologies
  • Experience with agile methodologies and associated tools (Scrum, Confluence, Jira, etc.)
  • Good working proficiency in English
