Join a new team of Engineers at one of the largest financial institutions in the world as a Big Data Specialist. You will work in the area of traded risk on a strategic project to deliver a strategic aggregation platform for Risk managers and utilize a new vendor product in a cloud and on-premises hybrid environment.

Your tasks

• Defining principle and practice of data model design
• Working closely with BA, vendor, and up/downstream IT teams on data requirement analysis and solution design
• Refining and automating the data model delivery and data migration process
• Adopting DevOps and Agile principles
• Ensuring test-driven development and close collaboration with team members in London, Hong Kong, and China
• Supporting the platform database: incident resolution, monitoring, problem management

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience as a developer, ideally in banking projects
• Experience in Java and Scala development
• Strong knowledge of Big Data concepts, DevOps, and Container technology
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Very good knowledge of spoken and written English
• Openness to work in a hybrid model
