We are currently looking for Big Data Architect who wishes to join our project.
The Candidate will contribute to the innovative aspects of Enterprise Architecture, particularly in the Data Architecture areas. Our project supports the digital transformation of the EU agency, yielding highly visible results for all EU institutions. The agency will become more citizen-centric, with many innovative solutions supported by our team. These innovative experiences will feed into the growing EU hub.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake the Technical Design Specification in support of sales opportunities and during the architectural phase of the project lifecycle related to Big Data.
- Guide the full architectural lifecycle of a Big Data solution, including requirements analysis, governance, capacity requirements, technical architecture design (including hardware, O/S, and network topology), application design, testing, and deployment.
- Provide technical direction in a team that designs and develops path-breaking large-scale cluster data processing systems.
- Interact with domain experts, data architects, solution architects, and analytics developers to define data models for streaming input and delivering analytics output.
- Help our Clients Internal Partners develop strategies that maximize the value of their data.
Required Skillset:
- 8+ years of experience.
- Experience in the full architectural lifecycle of data processing systems.
- Hadoop stack (e.g. MapReduce, Sqoop, Pig, Hive, HBase, Flume, Spark, Kafka, Flink, Java).
- At least one or two projects delivered at Production Scale on Hadoop stacks or equivalent.
- Strong background in developing and utilizing tools that prepare, extract, and manipulate data to create Connected datasets (data warehousing) that can be utilized for analytics purposes.
- Scala and Python hands-on experience.
- Any experience in cloud technologies: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud.
Nice to Have:
- Gitlab CI/CD, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Confident use of Kafka or Prefect.
