We are looking for a BI Software Engineer that translates business requirements/user stories into a robust, supportable design of code for the product/application. You will develop and test the code to ensure it functions as designed, implementing the code across the software development life cycle steps, preferring CI/CD tooling for deployment and integration. You will deploy to production, monitor, and maintain the software to ensure proper functionality.

The BI Software Engineer works closely with data architects, data engineers, and business analysts to design and implement robust and performant enterprise-grade BI applications with best-in-class UI/UX. You will provide engineering support for assigned tools and coordinate with other support teams, whether they are external or owned by internal product owners. You will play a crucial role in establishing, maintaining, and championing BI best practices for the organization.

Job Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, engineering, or a related field, with experience in data engineering or BI engineering roles.
2. Experience with designing and managing the architecture of BI solutions, with data governance and CI/CD.
3. Experience with Microsoft technology stack including Power BI, Azure Databricks, and Fabric.
4. Experience with integrating BI solutions with other data systems and services, ensuring data consistency, security, performance, and strong UI/UX.
5. Proven track record of providing technical guidance, documentation, training, and support for BI development teams and end-users.
6. Agile project management previous experience.
