Your Mission:

We are looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer to become a cornerstone of our data-driven decision-making process. Reporting to the CTO and collaborating with the CEO and senior leadership, you will play a critical role in shaping BlueThrone’s BI capabilities. Your insights will illuminate strategic opportunities, optimize performance, and guide us to greater success.

Your Impact and Scope:

• Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze complex datasets to uncover trends and provide actionable business insights.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with the CEO, CTO, and senior leadership to understand data needs and deliver insights that support strategic goals.
• Dashboard Development: Design and build intuitive dashboards that present key metrics and drive informed decision-making.
• Documentation: Create and maintain a comprehensive data catalog and related documentation for organizational clarity.
• Data Modeling: Develop and refine data models to represent business processes, supporting efficient analysis and reporting.
• Communication: Translate complex data findings into digestible insights for non-technical stakeholders.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based data warehouses like BigQuery or AWS Athena.
• Expertise in BI tools such as Metabase, Tableau, or Apache Superset.
• Solid understanding of data visualization principles and best practices for dashboard design.
• Strong analytical skills, including statistical analysis and the ability to present findings clearly.
• Familiarity with data modeling techniques and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills with a knack for explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Bonus Points For:

• Proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation.
• Experience with Jupyter Notebook or Google Colab for collaborative data exploration.
