The position is expected to onboard at an American Rheinmetall location and transition into primarily being located in Warsaw, Poland, for an 18+ month assignment. Job Summary
The Bradley Fighting Vehicle (BFV) Chassis Integration Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all mechanical, electrical, and software systems related to the chassis (hull, suspension, steering, braking, and structural components) work together seamlessly within the complex military vehicle architecture. The BFV Chassis Integration Engineer also assists the team to diagnose and fix integration issues during vehicle system verification and validation testing.
Essential Functions
- Prepare integration test plans and schedules to support the repair of BFV.
- Track material availability for vehicle repairs activities as required.
- Direct mechanics during build and repair activities within the manufacturing environment for combat vehicles specifically the BFV.
- Conduct vehicle inspections to capture all vehicle deficiencies.
- Lead the troubleshooting activities for all vehicle systems (Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, Cooling) to support repair efforts.
- Work with engineering to determine integration requirements and develop and implement integration risk reductions.
- Review Technical Documents and Safety Statements according to law and/or contractual conditions.
- Support and adhere to all company safety and environmental regulations & policies.
- Accommodate extended remote assignment to manufacturing sites as required.

Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (as demonstrated through experience, training and/or testing)
- Ability to understand multi-disciplinary complex systems and how they interact. (Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, Cooling)
- High understanding of BFV Chassis mobility LRU and appendage integration, test and checkout.
- Ability to work across the organization to accomplish programmatic and project goals.
- Strong track record of tackling complex problems through planning, organizing, and executing action plans.
- Ability to present technical solutions to internal and external stakeholders.
- Practical ‘hands on’ attitude with the ability to operate independently.

- Familiarity with the US DoD ground vehicle requirements.
- Knowledge of the US DoD process and procedures for vehicle development and procurement.
- Detailed knowledge in Industrial Engineering and related Standards/ Processes.
- High level of self-motivation and standards with the ability to multi-task; balancing "analysis" with "doing".
Preferred Qualifications
- Functional knowledge of full combat vehicle systems operation with the ability to develop and execute individual subsystem to full vehicle integration test plans.
Education
- BSc Engineering (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Aerospace, Automotive) or Aviation Technician.
- Extensive BFV Technical Build, Integration, and Test Experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Extensive experience integrating, testing, and troubleshooting complex mechanical systems will be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience
- 5 – 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical design or mechanical systems integration/test and troubleshooting.
- Ability to perform fundamental actions within CAD based design systems.
Background Prerequisites
- Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks and controlled substance testing.
- All employment at ARV is contingent upon the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance if the position requires it.
