Ignitis Group is looking for an experienced specialist to lead and manage our growing Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) portfolio in Poland. The role combines strong technical understanding, financial awareness and excellent stakeholder management skills to drive high‑quality development and implementation across the full project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the BESS project portfolio in Poland, including greenfield development, acquisitions and implementation activities.
- Oversee economic, legal and technical feasibility assessments across all BESS value streams (capacity market, arbitrage, FCR/FRR and others) to ensure profitability.
- Support development, construction and O&M teams throughout project lifecycle stages.
- Drive project financing activities before and after COD, ensuring alignment with commercial and technical project aspects.
- Collaborate closely with central business development, project finance and modelling teams to evaluate and optimise BESS projects.
- Ensure high‑quality project management and efficient stakeholder engagement across internal and external partners.
Qualifications
- University degree in electrical engineering, economics, energy management or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience within the Polish energy sector.
- At least 1 year of proven experience working in the Polish BESS market.
- Strong knowledge of Polish and European energy regulations, including balancing and capacity market frameworks.
- Solid analytical skills and proven ability to build or assess complex business cases and financial models for energy projects.
- Fluency in Polish and English, combined with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
