Overview
We are looking for a BD Assistant (m/f/d) to support our international Business Development Team of CMS Legal Services either based in Warsaw, Poland or Sofia, Bulgaria.
The BD Assistant will support the International BD Team Business Leaders and the International BD team in a variety of projects. This is a global role which offers the opportunity to work with all our practice, sector and focus groups to explore the world of business development and progress in the team by gaining experience.
Key tasks and responsibilities
This role requires a lively, proactive person who typically has previously worked in an assistant or support role, who is ambitious, curious and able to manage several tasks at once.
- Coordination: setting up calls and team meetings, meeting notes
- Update of internal documents and Teams channels
- Work closely and support the Head of International Business Development and the Director of International Business Development and Events
- Support in preparing and following up on BD events: EC/PAG/SG/BD meetings, occasional conceptual support (invitations/newsletters)
- Identifying opportunities to improve BD processes and workflows
- Proactively supporting team priorities and upcoming initiatives
- Anticipating needs rather than only responding to tasks
Qualifications and requirements
- Graduate-level qualification or equivalent.
- 2–3 years’ experience in an assistant role
- Business fluent English skills, additional language skills beneficial
- Proficient with administrative tasks, excellent knowledge of Microsoft suite
- Experience in professional services firm environment
- Proficient in using AI tools (Copilot) to streamline routine workflows and support business development activities.
- Pro-active, patience, can-do mentality, ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Team player and good communication skills
- InDesign skills would be an advantage
- Professional experience in the legal field is a plus.
