Backend Software Engineer - GenAI Infrastructure Operations

Job Summary:

Were seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our team and help build reliable infrastructure for Metas Generative AI (GenAI) systems. As a key member of our team, youll play a critical role in developing solutions that ensure the smooth operation of our GenAI infrastructure.

Our team provides technical operational support through engineering solutions and services that enable operations at scale. We leverage a range of internal customer tools and frameworks to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Software Engineers, Data Engineers and ML Engineers
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems that support our GenAI operations efforts
• Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance through rigorous testing and monitoring

Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years of experience in backend software engineering
• Experience with distributed systems, large scale data processing (Ingestion, Storage, Job Scheduling, Processing, Query/SQL, ETL jobs, APIs)
• Strong programming skills in languages such as C++ or Python
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including relationship building with a diverse, global, and cross-functional team
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
