What we require of you:

• 3+ years’ experience in back-end development, preferably in a cloud-native or SaaS environment and web development using Laravel (12 or higher) or similar PHP frameworks (e.g. Symfony)
  
• Strong understanding of PHP (PHP 8.3 or higher) programming, Laravel ORM, and RESTful API development
  
• Proficiency with front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript
  
• Working knowledge of cloud servers such as Azure, AWS, Rackspace
  
• Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
  
• Experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform to manage cloud environments and platform configuration

,[Here’s what your responsibilities in the role would look like: Design, develop, and manage scalable web applications using the Laravel framework , Write robust, effective, and scalable code for both front-end (e.g. Blade components, Livewire, etc.) and back-end components of Laravel-based applications , Design and develop server-side applications, RESTful APIs, and background services , Develop integrations between systems and third-party APIs , Optimise application performance, scalability, and security , Work closely with front-end developers to support full-stack development and consistent user experiences , Interact with SQL databases , Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and Agile planning meetings , Collaborate with DevOps engineers to automate deployments and monitor production environments , Support the team in transitioning to and optimising cloud-native infrastructure (currently AWS, migrating to Azure) , Maintain technical documentation and contribute to best practice sharing across the team , Identify and fix bugs that are found within code Requirements: PHP, Laravel Tools: Agile.
