Correct Context is looking for a Mid/Senior Backend Developer for Comscore in Poland and around.
This job offer is for a temporary contract - 6 to 9 months, potentially with a permanent offer (but not guaranteed and no hard feelings if we part ways)
We are doing a migration from Data Center to Cloud on AWS. As we are data focused, most applications/code/work is around ETL. We are looking for developers who are smart, flexible and who deliver.

The recruitment process for the Backend Developer position has the following steps:
- Technical survey ~ 10min
- Technical screening - 30 min
- Technical interview - 1h-2h (depending on your experience and how fast we can go through some things)
- Interview with manager - ~30 min
The candidate must have:
- 3+ years of strong backend development experience (ideally Java, but Scala/Kotlin/C#/PHP/C++/Rust are fine too if you are sharp and willing to switch to java)
- 3+ years experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
- Basic Linux skills
- Strong debugging skills
- Sharp axe
- Great communication skills in English to work effectively in an international team
Nice to have:
- Migration from Data Center to Cloud experience
- Data Engineering/ETL/Big Data experience
- Knowledge of Linux processes, shell scripting, service management and networking
- Python, Bash expertise
- AWS Services knowledge (EKS, EMR, EC2)
- Apache Airflow, Trino, Spark knowledge
- Jenkins, IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation) knowledge

,[Develop new and refactor existing data processing and data ingestion services , Make sure Big Data File Ingestion pipelines are running , Figure out dependencies of software, untangling when needed, cut when needed , Work with below tech stack: Main - java, python. Legacy - (debug/discovery): perl, c++, c generated by python and compiled on the fly. Data - aws s3 (i.e. parquet), 400 node postgresql cluster, mssql clusters, spark, apache airflow and other random tools (no MongoDB though!) , Work with AWS Services , Work in a small and effective team of high-performers and collaborating with 3-4 other teams around that ecosystem , Work in PST Timezone. No core hours, but sync meetings are in PST, typically 2-3 times a week. Need to cooperate with PST zone devs from other teams. Development can be done on your own schedule. Manager of the team is in PL Requirements: Java, Python, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Linux, AWS, BigData, Airflow, Jenkins Tools: Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, GIT, Jenkins, Agile, Kanban.
