Back Office Business Analyst with German - EY

Join EY GDS Poland as a Lead Back Office Analyst. In this pivotal role you will bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions across our asset management and fund accounting operations, focusing on Transfer Agency and Custody.

Job Summary

Leveraging extensive knowledge of back‑office processes, you will analyse, design, and implement enhancements that drive efficiency and accuracy. You will work closely with operations, compliance, and IT teams to gather requirements, develop functional specifications, and facilitate successful implementation or transfer of system enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct business analysis of client requirements and build actions on stakeholder input.
• Gather and document requirements for system enhancements and process improvements.
• Leverage proficiency in back‑office platforms such as Eagle, Bloomberg AIM, FundGuard, or FIS InvestOne (IAM) to optimise workflows and ensure seamless integration.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across operations, compliance, and IT to ensure solutions meet industry standards and regulatory compliance.
• Act as a liaison between business units and technology teams, ensuring clear communication and effective delivery of solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of back‑office operations experience in the asset management industry or within asset management audit.
• Proficiency in German and English (written and spoken) is essential.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Ability to extract and articulate stakeholder requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and reporting requirements in the asset management sector (preferred).
• Willingness to adapt to evolving industry trends and technologies and commitment to continuous professional development.
• Prior experience as a business analyst is a major asset (preferred).
