Location

Central Poland (including Warsaw) and the Northeastern region of Poland. The successful candidate ideally lives within 100 km radius from Warsaw.

Job Purpose

The Wholesale Fuel Sales Department is part of the Supply, Trading and Shipping team. The core business activity focuses primarily on acquiring new customers for wholesale fuel purchases, as well as building and maintaining relationships with existing clients.

The person in this role is responsible for achieving sales targets, developing and ensuring the profitability of wholesale fuel sales in the defined region.

Wholesale fuel sales is a dynamic business, largely dependent on available fuel supply sources and responsive to macroeconomic factors such as fuel market regulations, stock exchange quotations, and national and global economic indicators.

In This Role You Will

  • Execute and develop annual and monthly sales plans
  • Identify customer segments and potential areas to increase turnover and profitability for the business / actively seek new clients
  • Maintain acquired and existing B2B customers – build, sustain, and develop positive business relationships
  • Engage in daily active sales to the customer base – price negotiations, ongoing communication with the Sales Support team
  • Develop tailored solutions for specific customer groups (based on segmentation), using available tools (such as reports and Outlook calendar planning)
  • Execute all administrative and managerial tasks reliably and timely, including the use of ECM in the contract creation process
  • Manage customer profitability and adhere to pricing policy guidelines
  • Manage risk and monitor customer credit limits
  • Ensure compliance with agreed contract terms, timely payments, debt collection, and readiness to respond to customer inquiries
  • Maintain knowledge of competitor offerings and monitor market proposals
  • Use the SAP environment as needed (customer master data, reporting, forward contracts)
  • Apply all safety standards (HSSE policy)
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally within BP businesses

Travel Requirement

Up to 80% travel should be expected with this role.

What You Will Need To Be Successful

  • Relevant professional education
  • Proven experience of sales experience in a B2B environment
  • Experience with Excel Spreadsheets
  • Teamwork is important in this role
  • Understanding of the fuel market and its dynamics
  • Category B driving licence – the person in this role will be provided with a company car
  • Result and customer‑oriented mindset
  • Planning and analytical skills
  • Strong self‑organisation – task‑based working style
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to analyse problems and develop solutions, even under time pressure
  • Creative thinking
  • Understanding of financial documentation
  • Business awareness and the ability to make sound decisions, along with responsibility for actions taken
  • Stress resilience
  • Polish language – fluent
  • English language at min. A2/B1 level
  • Good command of spoken and written English will be a advantage
  • Proficiency in using computers and office equipment
