About the project

EPAM is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager focused on Microsoft Azure to join our growing team in Poland.

Youll be a key player in architecting innovative, scalable, and secure cloud solutions for our clients while also leading and mentoring a team of talented engineers. This is a senior, hands-on, client-facing role offering significant opportunities to shape EPAMs cloud business.

This position offers a remote setup with the flexibility to work from any location in Poland, whether its your home or one of our well-equipped offices.

Your responsibilities

Deliver Azure solutions tailored to client needs, covering cloud migrations, greenfield deployments, hybrid environments, and AI/ML projects while adhering to the Azure Well-Architected Framework and FinOps principles
Oversee Azure projects by managing stakeholders, tracking KPIs, and mitigating risks effectively
Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and accountability, while driving adoption of CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and container tools such as AKS and Helm charts
Engage with pre-sales efforts, including responding to RFPs and delivering technical presentations as an expert advisor
Evaluate and adopt new Azure technologies (AI, serverless, sustainability offerings) to drive R&D initiatives and enhance team performance

Our requirements

Expertise in Azure solutions, covering IaaS (Virtual Machines, Networking, Storage), PaaS (App Services, Azure Functions, Cosmos DB, SQL Database, AKS), and serverless technologies
Proficiency in CI/CD workflows (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub) and IaC tools (Terraform, ARM, Pulumi, Bicep)
Background in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) with experience in AKS, paired with scripting and automation skills (Bash, PowerShell, Python)
Knowledge of Azure security protocols, such as Azure Security Center, Defender for Cloud, Entra ID, RBAC, Azure Policy, and DDoS Protection
Competency in implementing and managing AI-powered solutions
Familiarity with cloud monitoring tools like Azure Monitor, Prometheus, and Grafana, and applying cost optimization strategies
Leadership skills for mentoring team members and motivating collaborative teamwork
Strong communication and presentation abilities in English at a minimum C1 level
Understanding of new innovations in cloud engineering with a commitment to staying at the forefront of developments

Optional

Background in Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, alongside familiarity with ITIL principles
Experience in Architect, Consultant, or Delivery Manager roles, demonstrating client collaboration and value-driven outcomes
Certification in vendor qualifications such as Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert or Azure Solutions Architect Expert
