As an Azure Cloud Engineer , you will be working for our client, a leading institution in the financial sector, assisting in a high-impact Azure tenant migration project. Joining a central platform team, you will implement cloud architecture, develop automation solutions, and design secure network frameworks, ensuring seamless service transitions and optimized infrastructure. This role requires expertise in Azure architecture, PowerShell automation, and DevOps practices, essential for driving the success of the client’s strategic migration initiative. Your role will also focus on collaborating with cross-functional teams, documenting processes, and maintaining efficient, secure Azure environments.

Your main responsibilities:

• Implementing Azure Architecture: Executing Azure architecture in the new tenant, facilitating service migration
• PowerShell Automation Development: Building and troubleshooting PowerShell scripts to streamline operational tasks
• Designing Network Security: Establishing and securing network architectures in Azure, optimizing performance
• Managing CI/CD Pipelines: Utilizing Azure DevOps for CI/CD management and deployment automation
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Creating and maintaining infrastructure definitions using Terraform
• Deployment Automation: Using Octopus Deploy to manage and streamline application deployments
• Collaborating with Teams: Working cross-functionally to ensure alignment and support smooth migration
• Documentation and Training: Documenting migration processes and providing guidance to team members

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Proficiency in Azure services, architecture, and best practices
• Advanced PowerShell Skills, experience with automation frameworks within Azure environments
• Networking Proficiency, understanding of Azure networking tools, including firewalls, NSGs, and VPNs
• Security Management Knowledge, experience implementing Azure security controls and compliance standards
• Azure DevOps experience; familiarity with CI/CD pipeline management and deployment automation
• Infrastructure as Code Experience; hands-on experience with Terraform for managing infrastructure provisioning
• Deployment Management Skills; knowledge of Octopus Deploy for overseeing application deployments
• Problem-Solving Ability; Strong analytical skills and experience diagnosing complex technical issues
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborative team efforts
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a hybrid environment

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience in large-scale enterprise environments
• Familiarity with additional CI/CD and DevOps tools
